At Trinity Academy Carlton Mill, our vision is that all students are able to successfully reintegrate back to a mainstream educational setting. All students will be seen as individuals and we will recognise each student’s personalised needs. This includes celebrating their strengths and working with them on their areas of need. Through thorough understanding of each young person, we will create reasonable adjustments as and when required, without ever losing focus on our high expectations. Areas of need will be assessed on entry, and an individualised personal development plan will be created, implemented and assessed throughout the student’s placement. Each student’s individualised personal development plan will focus on our virtues – what it means to be a successful TACM student.
Academic priorities, delivered through a bespoke yet ambitious curriculum, will work hand in hand with personal development. The success and areas for improvement for both curriculums will form part of the key feedback that we provide to referring schools at the end of each placement.
Student success relies on strategic work with key stakeholders, embedded by clear communication. Weekly strategy meetings to discuss student’s progress, regular contact with parents, internal and external reviews, governor visits and reporting are part of this communication plan. This will ensure innovation, adaptability, reflection and continued improved practice.

At Trinity Academy Grammar, we endeavour to ensure that all of our students feel known, valued and understood and that every child reaches their full potential. Whilst we are unapologetic in our approach and commitment to upholding high standards and expectations of both our students and our teachers, we recognise that these are only achieved by prioritising wellbeing and by providing our young people with the tools they need to be successful.
Trinity Academy Carlton Mill is a huge investment in our students and is an educational setting where every child is nurtured and supported throughout their time with us. We are passionate about, and committed to, ensuring there is consistency, timely intervention and support for the young people accessing Carlton Mill and that their academic and pastoral needs, as they work towards mainstream reintegration, are fully supported.
Working in collaboration with parents, carers and a team of dedicated staff who bring innovation and energy to everything they do, we are confident we can achieve great things together at Trinity Academy Carlton Mill.
