Key Worker Sessions

Every student at Trinity Academy Carlton Mill will have an assigned key worker. This member of staff will be their key adult and will meet with the students at least once a week to complete a key worker session. Our key worker sessions provide an opportunity for students to reflect on their strengths and areas for improvement and keep a close eye on their targets. Our key worker sessions have been co-designed with an educational psychologist within the sector, and practices are regularly reviewed as we work towards continuous improvement. Each key worker is trained to work with students on a series of strategies, some of which include:

  • Worry cup
  • Reaction thermometer
  • Strategy cards
  • Mad, sad, glad reflections
  • Confident me
  • Daily wellbeing checks
